Jeeping 4 Beginners is more then our name. J4B teaches the basics of owning a 4WD, as well as how to use your truck or SUV off-road. Our experienced instructors will guide you through various levels of off-roading knowledge and provide hands-on training. We cover ALL aspects from the legal to the adventurous. Off-roading 4 beginners (o4b)

This is our entry level, and basic class. Its where we recommend everyone to start with their journey. In this class we will cover topics such as, preparing for the journey, trail safety, BLM rules, proper use of 4wd, spotting, picking a line, airing down, trail communication, common practices and common mistakes, and so much more. Our aim is to arm you with the information needed, alongside hands on instruction, to be fully prepared to enjoy your off-roading experience. We will show you your limits, we will help you get comfortable with your rig, and ensure you fully understand what you are doing, and the why behind it. This class typically lasts between 6-8 hours, and is limited to only 7 total rigs. We limit the class size because we want everyone to have a chance to share in the experience, without dragging it on way to long.

What will it cost you?

Of course, this is an instructor led class, designed to equip you for the unknown. For the O4B class, pricing is per vehicle, NOT per person. However, attendee size is limited to 2 people per vehicle, and NO PETS. (safety reasons) For the 1 day class, Off-Roading 4 Beginners, the cost starts at $175.00 per vehicle.
What to expect for each class typically:
  • Driver's meeting to discuss the days schedule
  • Lunch is provided by us, but feel free to bring snacks
  • Minimum of 1 hour class time before hitting the trails
  • Hands on training for things such as Spotting, radio communications, recovery, picking a line and much more
  • Will cover the rules of BLM, and the do's and don'ts of public land use
  • Air compressor(s) and needed tools to air down and to air back up at the end of class, along with portable UHF/VHF radios will be provided

  • 8:00 A.M. ~ Initial Meet and greet
  • 8:30 A.M. ~ Travel to designated trail(s)
  • 9:15 A.M. ~ Driver's Meeting/ Instruction
  • 9:45 A.M. ~ Vehicle preparations
  • 10:00 A.M. ~ Hands on begins, trail run starts
  • 1:00 P.M. ~ Break for lunch
  • 1:45 P.M. ~ Question and answer session
  • 2:15 P.M ~ 2nd half hands on, trail run conclusion
  • 4:30 P.M. ~ Air up, final Q&A and departure

April 26th -27th

We will be hosting a Jeep Badge of Honor course. Off-Roading 102. Advanced class, beginner to moderate build. Recovery equipment training, and you will earn a Badge Of Honor, if of course, you bring your Jeep to tackle this trail! Full details and rig requirements discussed upon sign up.

May 3RD-4TH

We will be hosting class on the north west side of Mount Charleston. Off-Roading 101. Amateur class, beginner to moderate build. Higher rated trail. Further details when you sign up.

May 24th

We will be hosting a Jeep Badge of Honor Course, Off-Roading 102. Advanced class, beginner to moderate build. Recovery equipment training, and you will earn a Badge Of Honor, if of course, you bring your Jeep to tackle this trail! Full details and rig requirements discussed upon sign up.

June 7th - 8th

SOLD OUT
We will be hosting class in the Alabama hills, outside Lone Pine California. Off-Roading 101. Stock class, beginner level. Will cover some dark American History, as well as take you and your Jeep, to where you NEVER thought possible! Full details when you sign up.
